Not about covid i dont have temp/cough/taste smell symptoms. I have asthma I'm not wheezy but chest is tight and sore, feeling a bit lousy, can I still get flu Jag? Surgery phone is off even though open for flu jags today.

So long as no fever, you can have your vaccination today.

miraloma · 10/10/2020 11:14

You've got a temp, a cough and can't taste?

Is this a wind up? Why would you even think of attending a clinic where lots of vulnerable people will also be going?

Can you pass your appointment to someone else?

The OP says she doesn't have those symptoms.

OP, Google says you can but just ask when you get there.

Wanderer1 · 10/10/2020 11:15

Not very helpful but I can ask why you call it 'flu jag' and not jab? Maybe a typo but it's three times so had to ask. Have I been saying it wrong all these years?

Jag is Scottish

Yeah it's irritating but it's the Scottish way I think. I always picture a hooked needle because it doesn't make any sense.

Still we all use words that are irritating to others Grin

MiniMum97 · 10/10/2020 19:20

Really? Why is it called a jag in Scotland?

Obviously jab comes from being jabbed....how does jag fit in?

Blueshmoo · 10/10/2020 19:21

Lol yes very Scottish thing to say!! Would never think to call it anything else x

Jag is from jaggy. Sharp point etc. Totally fits.

mintich · 10/10/2020 19:26

It comes from jaggy....sharp

Gilead · 10/10/2020 19:37

I actually came on this thread to ask about jag so thank you folks!
