Should I report this or just keep my nose out.

Don't have a clue who I would report to really. Police? SS?

School pickup and ds friend was being placed in the boot area of a 7 seater. There was no seat there he was literally sat on the floor. He was surrounded by various bags etc so could barely move.

Me and ds walked past said goodbye and ds laughed at him for sitting in the boot as we thought it was a joke.

The boys Mum came over said hello slammed the boot shut and off they drove. Like it was the most normal thing in the world.

Me and ds stood stunned and ds first words to me were ' but what If they crashed Mum? He isn't wearing a seatbelt'

My 6 year old ds seems to have more sense than a 30 something year old woman. He was really concerned for his friend.

Should this be reported? I very much doubt it was a one off.

Or should I keep my nose out of others business?

Imo, you should never keep your nose out of other people’s business if it involves the safety of a child.
And what that parent did is actually illegal because it is dangerous.
I would speak to the school about it. Go directly to the safeguarding person (the receptionist will be able to tell you who that is, usually a member of SLT).
Give them as many details as possible, the child’s name, class, make and reg number of the car, how many times you have witnessed this, etc.

My child's school once phoned me to say another parent had reported that I left the school with my son the the boot. I agreed that I did however we have a 7 seater and he was in a seat with a seat belt on. They were apologetic and said they had to check which I didnt actually mind as at least they were looking out for my child. I think the school would be your best bet to report to, hopefully yours will do the same.

Some 7 seaters do have extra seats with a seatbelt in the boot.

Was he definitely on the floor of the boot and not a seat? Our seats folds out one on each side.

Are you sure he wasnt in a seat? Boot seats can look deceiving in a 7 seater because there is no boot for shopping once you have all the seats up.
