Not that I am aware of. Sections have to be reviewed periodically if that's what you mean.

Nope. In my old job we had patients who had been 'in the system' for 50+ years. :(

But as Genie says, if you are detained under the mental health act (commonly known as being sectioned) then it will be reviewed periodically.
