Birthday ideas, boy age 11

Hi all,
My boy turns 11 next week, and I am struggling to think of what to get him, apart from sports and computer game related gifts. He quite likes construction though, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend (woodworking) craft kits for a boy his age, even large kits like a go kart or something that he could actually then use?

My DS is 11 in November. For his birthday he’s getting:

For Christmas he’s getting:
Marble circuit puzzle
Chemistry set
Basketball hoop and ball
Stikbot studio
Soda stream

Besides playing on video games, he likes Hot Wires and his dart board.

My ds likes those excavation kits...National Geographic do good ones. It's like a piece of rock with a fossil or sea creature (not real!) in it and they chisel it out...kept him busy for ages.

He also loves the air fix kits, cars and planes.
