Big birthdays in lockdown

I'll be turning 40 soon. I'm not really bothered about not being able to have a grand celebration, and in some ways it is probably not such a bad thing (in this respect only), as I wasn't sure how to celebrate anyway. But I just wondered whether anyone else had had a similar milestone birthday recently and had found a creative way to mark the event? I'm not going to say I'll celebrate whenever this is all over, because it's not that big a deal and by the time that happens I'll probably be about to turn 41 anyway! But I do feel I ought to do something...

What would you like to happen? Depending on local restrictions at the time & who you can have with you, you could still do any number of things....
Champagne breakfast
Out for lunch or dinner
Overnight stay in nice hotel
Big nature walk/ climb a hill
Touristy day out
Disco in your house with any family members that live with you
Drinks in the garden/ fire pit/ fairy lights/ music.

I turned 30 in May when everything was still closed due to lockdown. My friends sent me fancy cake by mail from a bakery in Cornwall and then DH and I got a takeaway. It was unremarkable, made worse by the fact that we were supposed to fly out on holiday that morning!

I had a big birthday and on the day went for a lovely countryside walk with my family. Then we had a takeaway from my favourite restaurant and a really nice bottle of champagne.
A couple of days later myself and a couple of close friends got together for cocktails. So lots of celebrating even if it was not what I had planned it would be like.

I was 60 in August , not in complete lockdown and I didn't want a party anyway
My son and DIL came to stay , DD was furloughed and staying with us anyway
Had flowers , cards , wine etc delivered by friends at a social distance and with virtual hugs !
We went for a walk on a nearby beach , DD cooked the dinner , the weekend away has been put on hold .. maybe next spring ?
It wasn't quite what I planned , but it was lovely

I turned 30 in April - marked it by having to quarantine because my boyfriend was unwell, so we stayed inside for 2 weeks. On the day, I ordered pizza and a cake, got it delivered, ate it then went to bed. We basically did the same for his birthday, too, except we were allowed out so we went for a walk around where we live. As soon as we get a good chance, we are going to do something fun (we had planned to go on holiday abroad for the first time for our 30ths!) and make the most of it.

I turned 40 at the end of August. I'd been planning a party and a weekend away, bith of which were cancelled.

I decided that I'm going to hold my birthday next year instead, but I asked dp to organise something to mark the day in a smaller way. I was thinking he might get the dc to make a cake or choose a walk for us to do or something.

He actually organised a day long treasure hunt around the local area which was loads of fun and the dc absolutely loved (and I did too) and a surprise outdoor visit from my brother with drinks around a fire pit and it turned into my best birthday ever.
