My DSD has begged me for a proper typewriter for ages. She's 9.
So off I popped onto eBay and bought her a vintage petite typewriter.
It arrived. The ribbon was dry. So I bought a new ribbon and put it on the old spools.
Except now the spools don't go round properly. Ribbon is falling loose off one side. I'm not convinced I've put them back on right and I don't have a clue what it looked like before!
When I put the ribbon on the new spools should there be an equal amount on each?
Top marks for anyone who has a petite typewriter they can photo to show me how it's supposed to look?!
It types but it's not very dark but think that's the ribbon slackening.
