Boots Advantage ‘vouchers’

Does anyone use these? They drive me mad. Boots sends out a booklet of vouchers with specific, complicated rules on each one. Save £3 on xyz when you spend £?. Double points/ extra points on whatever, but only x amount of times, only instore, standing on one leg with one eye shut. Oh and only between certain dates.

Just give us a £5 voucher Boots.

I got mine yesterday. They end up sitting in my purse until they go out of date and eventually get thrown in the bin.

I got mine yesterday too! If you log onto your advantage card account, you can “load” the offers onto the card so you don’t have to remember to use them (although of course they’ll still be subject to certain dates etc.)

Suckmuckduck · 08/10/2020 15:56

Good advice Egbert, but Boots could surely load them on for us instead of sending out the booklets?

I’ve already put mine in the bin therefore cutting out the 6 months they usually spend on my purse.

Another "Advantage" .... you are not allowed to redeem Advantage points at Boots online store.

MrsBirkett · 08/10/2020 16:55

I used my vouchers online but it was complicated. Not sure I'll bother again.

LilyLongJohn · 08/10/2020 16:56

I no use the app and download the vouchers when I shop online. The paper ones just sit in my purse until they go out of date

JemimaTiggywinkle · 08/10/2020 16:57

If you do online shopping there’s an app that shows all your available vouchers... and then you have to click to accept them.
But then it automatically applies them if you shop through the app.

Mine went in the recycling this morning, shame it was after the binmen had already left. I hate that you’re not able to top up when using your advantage points, if the item is more expensive.

purpledagger · 08/10/2020 17:52

Sometimes it can work in your favour as you can stack offers e.g buying on 3 for 2, plus a double up voucher and spend £30 get £1.50 in points.

Doesn't always work, so I just ask the cashier to scan all of my vouchers.
