Can these be saved?

I planted some iris bulbs 2 weeks ago, I put them into a trough which I'd used for a sunflower in the summer but I'd forgotten that I never got round to drilling holes into the bottom of the trough. Anyway this morning its water logged, can the bulbs be saved? Or is it pointless?

I believe some irises like boggy ground. Do you know which type you planted, so you can Google and see if they're that type? They're often planted around ponds.
Maybe punch some holes through now, after tipping out the excess water?
