Bathtime Blues

How can I prevent my baby from crying the house down when I take her out of the bath? She's 13 weeks and LOVES bath time, smiles, laughs, kicks and splashes - it's lovely to see. As soon as I take her out she is distraught and screaming red-faced tears - inconsolable! I've tried warming her towel and pyjamas on the radiator first thinking she might be cold, but it didn't help. She refuses a bottle after as she's so upset. I obviously don't want to stop her having baths but she gets so distressed that it takes a really long time to calm her down before bed and so it's not really helping the calming "bath bottle book bed" routine we are trying to do each night!

Any tips?

Just another hopeful bump - as bathtime is looming..!

Could she be overtired at that point? If she’s warm and gets cuddles etc not sure why she’d struggle so much.

My DS used to do this. Try bathing her an hour or so earlier so she's not so tired / hungry. It did the trick for us. Good luck!

I used to have to put little baby bum on my phone as a distraction or other nursery rhymes
I'd probably move bath time a little earlier she may be over tired

Thanks all, I will try an earlier bath time tonight.
