Hair extensions

So I asked my DH one thing: don't cut my hair too short. He cut it too short. Can you tell me about your hair extensions please? Do clip ins work? How long did they stay in? Do they look natural? Were/are you happy with them?

Clip on/in last a day (if put in right)
Tape / micro loops / mini loops / hear bonded etc all last longer, but can be expensive
