Do teabags go in the small food recycling bin or in the normal non-recyclable..

Food recycling here - might depend on area?

If your name is where you live, then they are meant to be in the food waste.

Depends on the teabag. Most have plastics in them so can't go in compost or food recycling. More and more companies are getting recyclable bags now though.

Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall's War on Plastic recently tested different types for how much plastic and micro plastic was contained in a variety of popular brands, it should still be on iPlayer.

We compost ours, but they are plastic free.

Food recycling in our house

Depends on the tea bag...technically. I'll be honest I've never thought overly much over the little tissuey bag bit, but my default would be the food waste.

Definitely not left in the sink for some poor soul to scoop out later.

Settle the argument entirely though...stop buying tea bags and drink coffee instead Grin

Tea leaves can go into food waste, no bag to worry about then.
