How the heck do you make a payment with a debit card from a non HSBC bank account? 😩😩

Please tell me it’s an option? I absolutely cannot find the option to do so anywhere online!

We're having this exact same problem. It's infuriating. We're going to try going into our current account branch in person and see if they can help.

You do it through online banking for the non HSBC bank account and in the payments section you input the account details for the credit card with your long card number as the reference

When I use my banking app there are about 15 options for HSBC? Am I missing a really obvious one to choose?

Check the back of your credit card statement as it should detail the bank details for your particular card

dementedpixie · 07/10/2020 21:35

What sort of options does it give?

InDubiousBattle · 07/10/2020 21:44

Do you have a paper bill op?

elscar · 07/10/2020 21:47

@Dominicgoings

Who do you bank with Op? Sometimes with HSBC it will say "HSBC MasterCard 5434" which will be the first 4 digits of the card

Ones that start with a 5 are MasterCard and 4 is visa

I had a nightmare with this as well. I bank with Lloyds , I went into branch and they set it up for me on my payments on my bank account. It was actually straight forward but there was something I wasn't doing - can't remember what it is now.

So now I can just transfer money from my current account.

I do this all the time, it’s a bank transfer to HSBC with my credit card number as the reference

Thank you all and apologies for delay in replying.

I only have online billing but have now found the details I need to do a bank transfer. Hoping it’s going to the right place 🙈🙈
To be honest, compared to Barclaycard, this is a total faff of a system. Not impressed!
Thanks again for the help 😊
