Has anyone got really ill days after the flu jab?

Aged 65+, two days after flu jab = onset of sinus pain, worsening of usual arthritic pain, aches, nausea, total loss of appetite, fatigue. Diarrhoea lasting two days but stopped, sinuses calmer but still zapped and no appetite at all. Cough last day or two but not persistent. Drinking but barely eating. Not improving.
Anyone had anything like this after the flu jab?
Thanks

It’s an attenuated strain, it’s not capable of causing flu in children.

That makes sense @PlugUgly1980. Thanks. Having mine on Friday so I have the weekend in case I feel rough.

65+ and no symptoms apart for sore arm for 24 hours or so.
Funnily enough, felt rough last year but like a PP had similar symptoms to Covid not long afterwards. That was in November though.
GP has put me down for a Covid Anti body test with my annual blood test next week, as I was considering volunteering for the Covid vaccine trial if allowed. Be interesting to see.

I pay for the flu vaccine after having flu for the first time a few years ago. Only suffer from a sore arm for a few days that’s it.
It’s not a live vaccine.

3 years ago I became very poorly 6 days after having the flu jab. I had full blown flu, I couldn’t look after my children ( hard northerner that can normally push on through most things). Didn’t move from bed for 8 days, my mum had to move in etc. I know everything says the jab can’t give you actual flu, but I’m not convinced!
I’ve had it the last 2 years after this and been fine though.

In your situation, I'd be booking myself in for a Covid test.

Well I used to have one every year (HCP) for around 8 years and every time within 2 days I would be floored. Bed ridden for 3-4 days.
So I refuse to have it any more.
It was definitely not a coincidence

I think you should get a covid test.
