Anyone else called in for flu jab for being on antidepressants?

I have had a letter from my GP surgery today saying my annual flu jab is due and stating “records show you have a weakened immune system due to a medical condition or drugs you are taking”.
I have never had a flu jab through my GP surgery before (but know over 50s are being offered them this year due to COVID-19) and I do not have any underlying medical conditions. I am in my mid 50s and I am fit and well - running, yoga & cycling and my BMI is 21.6.
The only medication I take is an SARI antidepressant for anxiety (low dose) that I have been taking for several years.
I have made my flu jab appointment but cannot get any further info on my letter (waiting to speak to nurse or GP about it through a phone appointment next week).
I read the side affects before starting my tablets but didn’t realise anti depressants could weaken your immune system! I am obviously quite concerned now - especially with COVID-19.
Has anyone else on here who takes antidepressants been requested to have a flu jab because of weakened immunity this year at all?

I think that must be a mistake.
I once got a letter telling me to book my diabetic blood test and I don’t have diabetes.
Antidepressants aren’t a reason to have the flu jab or there would be a huge portion of the population eligible!
What’s the name of your medication? Have you looked it up?
I have know someone who had used a steroid cream in the past cause confusion in the system because it confused the cream with someone taking oral steroids, could it be something like that?

It isn’t a mistake - the letter was meant for me as I rang and queried it with the receptionist. I take Trazodone - no where on the medications contraindications paper does it mention it causes reduced immunity.

I’ve booked the jab anyway but am just concerned that I’m taking something that has more serious side affects than I realised- just wondered if others in their 50s and on antidepressants had been called solely for that reason.

It’s a mistake that they invited you for a flu jab .

All over 50’s are being vaccinated l think.

Depression and anxiety impact negatively on the immune system. The drugs may help the immune system through treating the depression.

I expected to be called at a later date due to all over 50s being eligible now however my letter states I have a “weakened immune system“ due to a medical condition (I do not have any) or due to medication I take (I only take the antidepressant).

I take them too and I’ve not heard anything

That's a mistake OP. The over 50's are not being done yet (if at all) in general practice.
The system is often incorrect. I'm a practice nurse and we never vaccinate on the basis of being on antidepressants alone.

My Doctors have contacted me this afternoon about my concerns regarding what was written in my flu immunisation letter and said that the letter mentioning ‘weakened immunity‘ is due to me having had Glandular Fever in my teens over 40 odd years ago.
I really didn’t think to go that far back In time 😁.
