Are there any local Facebook groups/other online communities? Need to help an elderly relative find a reliable cleaner/home help.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

I don't live there any more but when I did the Sanderstead train station and Waitrose bulluten boards used to be good places to look for things like that.

Hi I am in Purley next door to Sanderstead, could you join the local Nextdoor app on behalf of your relative? Good place to advertise that you're looking for help and ask for recommendations.

Can the relative ask neighbours for recommendations? And if it’s help for an elderly person rather than just cleaning, it’d probably be better to get a trained and DBS checked carer through an agency?
