You can walk by the river, but from memory, I don't think you can see much into Kew Gardens if that's what you mean?

Yes you can walk along really river but there is a big ditch Between path and Kew Gardens. There is a nice vista though along way where you can see the both the Kew pagoda in one direction and Ham house I think, maybe syon ( I muddle them up) the other way

That stretch along the river is lovely. A nice route would be to walk from Kew to Richmond. Or if you want to go a bit further, you could cross over the bridge and carry on walking from Richmond to Twickenham. There are a few lovely pubs on route by the river at Twickenham.

The White Swan and The Barmy Arms in particular.

Richmond to Kew sounds a great plan
I’m going to see if I can hire a motor boat too in that area for a an hour or two
If you know any companies ?

I absolutely love Kew Gardens and the children do too. It’ll be glorious if it’s sunny!

Lardlizard · 07/10/2020 11:18

There is a treetop walk and an indoors area for children at Kew. My kids loved it there when they were little. Lots of little surprises like the Japanese garden and the Pagoda, and the greenhouses are amazing.

Walk round to Petersham Nurseries along the river to have lovely food, coffee, plants (a few minutes walk from Ham House)
