Help a technophobe re WiFi

I like to think I’m pretty modern when it comes to technology but I’m not really!

Currently living somewhere where there is no WiFi. I’m having to use my phone data that, even though they say is unlimited, does run out when I ‘gift’ the data i.e. connect to my phone hot spot to use the internet on my laptop. I’m getting low on my gifting data which I’m worried about as I need to use my laptop for some work.

I’m likely to only be here temporarily so I don’t really want to (or can afford to) commit to having WiFi installed.

Are there any devices or solutions I can do in the meantime? Like I say I’m not very tech savvy really so any advice appreciated! There are no neighbours I know well enough to borrow their wifi. . Of course I can go to coffee shops but it’s a bit inconvenient really.

Yes a dongle! Mobile broadband, I used to use it when I was renting a house for 6 months. I used 3 network but there are plenty others Smile

Those dongle datas look expensive.

Cheaper deals here.

Just get a PAC from your existing provider to port your number over and carry on tethering.
