It makes excellent pulled pork. 2kg of pork shoulder ( pretty cheap these days), untie any string. Get a packet of Schwarz pulled pork mix and follow instructions. Cook for 8 hours, separate with two forks, cook for an hour or so more. Serve in buns like burgers. It goes a long way and there's usually leftovers. Also- If there are big slabs of fat I take them out at the end of cooking.

Chicken breasts, white wine, chopped spring onion and ginger. Cook = well as long as you like. Serve with noodles.
Chicken breasts with coconut milk and peanut butter.
Belly pork with cider

All delicious, require no measuring, just chuck it in.

Just doing a Hoisin sauce pork.

Hoisin sauce, brown sugar, onion, ginger and chicken stock, splash of tomato purée,

I’ll see how it turns out later!

Normal pulled pork is apple juice, mustard BBQ sauce and a few spices, left overnight.

Much nicer than the packet mixes

BBQ pork and beans

Soak dry white beans over night
Toss in crockpot with a chopped onion, couple cloves crushed garlic and some chopped hot peppers or pepper flakes if you like a little heat, and some ground cumin.
Cover with tomato juice and add about a cup brown sugar and a cup of molasses. Stir it well, you dont want the molasses sinking and sticking and burning. Taste it at this point to see if its sweet enough for you and adjust to taste.
Add cubed pork, use the cheapest scraggiest pork you can find, this wont be good with a lean cut. You can also throw in a few rashers of bacon chopped up if you want.
Stick cover on and leave till beans are tender and your sauce is thick and tastes of BBQ sauce.

Chicken breast with a chopped onion, a chopped pepper, a jar of salsa, and some paprika and cumin = a fab fajita filling

I have it about once a fortnight!

HotChoc10 · 11/10/2020 18:14

(cook for four hours on low then shred it)

This! I make pulled pork in mine all the time, and it's excellent!

PRO TIP: Leave the pork sitting for at least an hour after you turn off the cooker, BEFORE you pull it apart! Just turn it off and walk away. It makes a massive difference in preventing it from going too dry.
