storage for hazardous items

Hello, i am currently in my second year of sixth form and i am trying to design a product that will be used to store hazardous items around the house to keep your children safe. I was just wondering where you would like a device that does this to be located within the household and what kind of lock design you want, e.g. a simple lock or a more advanced one that can be unlocked via your phone. Any other tips would be much appreciated, Thank you!

What kind of items? Washing machine tablets? Bleach? Or knifes? Lighters? Tools? Would depend what was going in it, as to where I'd need it to be

Hi OP, we definitely need some more information on this to be able to help you! If it's for tools it would need to be a completely different size than a storage solution for cleaning products for example...?

I want to design the device to be able to store items such as mudicines, chemicals such as dishwasher tablets and bleach, and possible sharm items such as knives, hope this helps!

Hello, i think this is a very promising idea as I have been looking for a device such as this for a while now. If it was up to me I would want it to have a lock i can use on my phone to guarantee no child access. I would also want it to store items such as knives, bleach, medicines, lighters and any other items that could endanger my children that you can think of! I hope this has greatly helped you and hope to see your product online soon!

Google "hazardous substance cupboard" or haz safe (if you haven't already).
