Has anyone taken a domestic flight recently?

I will hopefully need to go from Edinburgh to London for a final interview soon (first stages are by zoom but final is in person).

How are domestic flights? Busy or not? Do they feel covid secure? My gut feel is that the train might be better but it's 4 hours and not ventilated with fresh air either so I don't really know if it is better.

Any thoughts? (Obviously I'd rather not go but I'm not working and it's a senior role)

I can’t answer about flights, but don’t forget the extra waiting time for flights and having to get to and from the airport.

A friend took the train from London to Plymouth last week and said that their carriage was very quiet, maybe 4-5 other passengers.

Admittedly, I prefer train travel to plane generally, but I’d be inclined to take the train.

Good luck!

I took a flight recently and it was dead, earily so. Good precautions in place and the air gets filtered every few minutes. Barely anyone at the airport either

Trains are absolutely fine. People only sit in window seats and everyone wears a mask.

I've been up and down to London from the West Country during traditional rush hours several times recently and there have never been more than about 20 people in a carriage ever.

I'd take a 4 hour train ride over waiting in an airport and sitting in a plane any day just now.

Thanks all. I feel much better about both options now.

All I have to do now is to wow them at my next video interview! 🤞
