I've been making things for a few years now and have a halloween 1:24 scale dollshouse. I do miniature not full size ones - 1:24 or 1:48 scale.
i do have collectors items but also make a lot of my own.
i'd love to know if anyone else collects.
I'm just doing some Christmas items for the Fairfield dollshouse kit I've ordered from the states.

I love your pics by the way.

@AntsDeck Thank you x Oh my Goodness! Look at that, and the teeny little Christmas crackers too ☺ so cute lol

Everything in all of the pics, makes me smile so much! I really need to start collecting but once I start I won't be able to stop!

Thank you, it's just fun to do, I love all of the dollshouses pictured too.

That's the problem Moondelay and if you go to the Kensington dollshouse exhibition you are doomed Grin

I love them.
I've always wanted a dolls house, but never got one even as a child. It's something I plan to do in retirement.

DarklisAndIsa · 06/10/2020 12:29

My plan once the children have bogged off is to buy myself a dollshouse and kit it out in a Victorian gothic theme. I've planned it for years! No idea where to start mind.

Love these pics, you're so clever :)

Start with a house kit and go from there.

I've ordered one from the states the Greenleaf for my Christmas one. They shop over here and the prices are generally cheaper than the ones over here.

I love that one. It makes me think of Green Knowe. Are they just wooden slot together like:
www.amazon.co.uk/House-Jigsaw-Puzzle-Model-Cute/dp/B01CFS17KG/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=wooden+dolls+house+kit&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1601988215&sr=8-5

or are they better?

UnitedRoad · 06/10/2020 15:32

I don’t have one and have never made anything like this but I really love looking at what you’ve all done. You’re very clever, and must have incredibly teeny hands

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 06/10/2020 15:59

Oh, more fotos.
I am afraid I am way to clumsy to make sth so tiny and perfect, though I would love to.

That's probably the nearest place for me to reach and look at:

madcatladyforever · 06/10/2020 18:22

Its not one of the slot togethers witchend it's a proper dollshouse that you build. It's really nice and collectors quality. I did one of these a few years ago and it was beautiful but my ex husband accidentally crushed it when we were moving.
@ I have large hands like bricks, I have special fine tweezers I use Smile

I bought one of the slot togethers on ebay once, it was nice if you want something for your kids to play with but oh so many pieces and so few instructions, it almost made my head explode.

@madcatladyforever
Thanks for coming back. I thought it probably was. It looks lovely.

ncd36275 · 06/10/2020 20:04

OP these are absolutely wonderful! I have a house which was a kit 30 something years ago from the dolls house emporium. I absolutely love the things you've made. I have nothing to add as I haven't made anything myself yet

Raera · 06/10/2020 20:16

If anyone is in Yorkshire, book a slot for NT property Nostell Priory.
Currently no extra charge for non members to visit the house and their main display is about the Nostell Doll House and how it was made and restored.

madcatladyforever · 07/10/2020 09:51

That sounds great Raera i'm often in Yorkshire visiting my cousin when not in lockdown so will have a look.
