Are schools still doing music lessons?

Sorry this is a bit of a roundabout/strange question.
My STBXH is a music teacher who goes into different schools to do instrument lessons. As part of his "reasoning" (Ex cocklodger) to ask me for money, he's claiming that he's got less work in schools at the moment because of the virus. I don't have any idea whether this is plausible and if instrument lessons in schools are restricted/aren't happening at the moment. None of the schools he works at have been closed.
I'd be very grateful if anyone could give me an idea as to whether there could be any truth in this. He has form for being creative in the reasons he's given for trying to demand money.

My daughter is still having guitar lessons

I work in a music department and we have resumed all lessons but our teachers are not allowed back to some schools to teach and it isn't being discriminated by instrument just a flat no across the board. Part of it is we have access to facilities to make it more COVID safe whilst other schools may not be able to.

@BiBabbles yes you're totally right. It could be that he's heard about schools not letting music teachers back in and has decided to pretend that's his situation right now. Thank you to everyone who's replied though! If everyone had said music lessons had stopped I'd know it was true, but it might not be, so I'll just say nothing for now and see whether he accidentally contradicts himself about it

Some schools aren't having any external people in.

My daughter learns the violin, her peripatetic teacher hasn’t been allowed back in school yet so no lessons here since March.
