Has anybody used a dri buddy?

I need to either purchase a heated airer or a dri buddy. The dri buddy looks better but does anybody know if it is actually any good? Does it dry in a reasonable time and a decent amount?

Watching with interest because due to this thread, I just Googled them and they do look good.

Also, they're down from £70 to £52.50 at Argos

I've got the Lakeland 3 tier heated airer and it's honestly changed my life.. bit of a drastic statement I know, but I can dry 2 loads of washing in 24 hours, washing is done for the week and no wet washing hanging around and taking up the spare room in the winter/wet days

I recently got the Dry Soon from Lakeland! Happy with it so far, for everything that doesn't go in the tumble dryer, but it doesn't always get sleeves and collars, etc. absolutely bone dry, so I've sometimes had to pop them in the dryer for 5 or 10 minutes for that.

If you need to dry lots of washing at once and you don't have a dryer, you're probably better off with a heated airer, but if you want it for a few shirts and jumpers at a time, then it's fine.

In 3 hours yesterday, which is the maximum time it runs for automatically, it dried 3 thin jumpers, a cord skirt, a pair of jeggings, 2 pairs of wool tights, 2 bras and 6 or 7 face masks completely, and it almost dried a thicker jumper, but it needed a while longer on the radiator for the sleeves.

I have one! There are 6 arms with 3 notches for hangers, but I don't fill every space as it dries quicker spread out. Takes a couple of hours max to dry straight from the wash and runs a lot cheaper than a tumble drier (apparently).

If you hang correctly things don’t need ironed too!

Can I throw in a dehumidifier as an alternative? It’s expensive but the Meaco one I have has a clothes drying setting and I love it.

Heating the room is a bonus I hadn't thought of!

It’s honestly brilliant! You sometimes need to move stuff around to get it completely dry but overall it does a great job and nothing needs ironing

My friend had a Dri Buddy before getting a tumble dryer and really liked it.

I've had a heated airer before and wouldn't rate it at all to be honest, we just used it a little bit each day to dry our towels off (as we had nowhere in our old bathroom to hang them up!)

I have one and I love it!

I've got a pulley-maid, which gets a lot of use over winter when the heating is on anyway. It's amazing how much it can hold, even sheets and duvet covers.

I just got the aldi heated airer - £28 and it has changed my life!
