Birthday gift ideas for DH? Help!

His birthday is coming up around the same time as our first baby is due. We don’t do Christmas gifts so birthday we usually use as an excuse to spoil each other. Usually there’s something that he wants or needs but of course, this year he’s adamant that he wants nothing apart from our little one 🙈 I’m really struggling for inspiration.
He’s mid 30s and is not a drinker or a big sports/car guy. He works away from home so when he’s back he just wants to spend time together and with family. Usually I’d book a lovely weekend away somewhere but with covid and pregnancy, this year that isn’t happening 😂 Don’t really tend to set a price limit as such - just depends what he’s mentioned that year. Probably no more than £500 all in if I had to give an actual limit.

What gifts have you bought DH or boyfriends/partners that have gone down well? Inspire me 🙈

I bought DH a subscription to The Spicery. It’s a monthly delivery of curry recipes, along with all of the spice ingredients you need to go with it. He’s loving it as he gets to cook something different and we make an evening of it.

Thanks @daisydalrymple - that sounds really interesting actually 😊 I’ll have a look!

The dishes we’ve tried so far have been absolutely delicious. Starter / side dish, plus main with rice. Totally flavoursome.

I did also arrange a box set delivery from a local craft beer company, but that won’t help you if DH doesn’t drink!

Does he like reading? Maybe a really comfy armchair and some books for the winter months? A posh coat?

@MinnieJackson He’s not a big reader unfortunately but I think I might need to head for some kind of clothing option so a coat might not be a bad idea. Toying with the idea of an Apple Watch. It’s something he’s always looked at in the shops but would never buy himself so might go down well 🤔

Photo calendar? Best thing is it's really a gift for me! Wink: etsy.me/2FwvtsA
