I ordered an item online over a week ago. I paid extra for express delivery as I needed the item quickly. It should have arrived within 2 working days.

On the first working day, I got an email saying my parcel would be delivered between 4 pm and 6pm. Lovely, I was in, and waiting for the doorbell to ring. At 5:30pm, I got an email saying "we tried to deliver, but couldn't". I dashed out to see if I could catch the driver, but no luck, even though it was probably 30 seconds after the email.

I contacted them, but no luck in getting my parcel. I contacted the retailer, who said I need to take it up with them (but has refunded my delivery fee, which is something).

I just want my item. I need it for work. Is it just me, or are Hermes also so shit?

Currently in the same situation. I got an email saying 'we attempted to deliver'...no card has been left, husband was working on the car outside, nobody came. Paid £7.99 for next day delivery. Going to try call them tomorrow

I have read a lot of accounts of them and yours is not unique.

If it were me in government, I would require all online orders to state who the parcel company will be. I expect that companies would soon switch to more reliable parcel deliverers.

Agree with @nosswith - we should know who the courier is. i tried calling Hermes. Get asked to say the parcel number etc, and afterwards, the robot states the obvious 'we attempted your delivery bla bla' the phone call cuts off.
