I’m not feeling especially optimistic that this will last, but go on, tell me your positive stories...

(I’m under St Mary’s miscarriage unit in london, had all the investigations and no reason for the miscarriages have been found)

I had my daughter last year after 5 mcs, no reason found. I’m younger than you but I wasn’t overly optimistic after such a struggle. I took a huge cocktail of stuff and something made her stick though I don’t know what.

How far along are you?

I just took the test yesterday!

What cocktail of stuff did you take?

Steroids for 24 weeks, progesterone suppositories for 20 weeks (I think) and 150mg aspirin and 2 blood thinning injections a day to term.

I was under my local NHS RMC and had 3 pregnancies in varying amounts of meds but the last one worked out. I had fortnightly scans through them, mostly done by my consultant, and the care was excellent.

It was nerve wracking as hell. I didn’t really believe it would work till after the 20 week scan when it started to sink in and then I had a big freak out about actually being pregnant Grin

Thanks, I’m going to call St Mary’s tomorrow and see what they say. Glad it worked out for you in the end!

I know 3 women who have had successful pregnancies after 10 plus miscarriages, at least one they never found out the cause of hers, and she had, I think, 16.

Hopeful bump!

Just bumping this for you. Congratulations and hope everything goes smoothly for you

I had DD at St. Mary’s at 42 after miscarriages - has to cancel my appointment at the recurrent miscarriage unit because I found I was pregnant! So it definitely does happen. Best of luck, OP!
