Miscarriage or normal

I’m around about 6 weeks pregnant and last Tuesday I noticed brown blood when wiping. I called my GP and then got me an early scan for the Wednesday.
On the Wednesday morning I had the scan and baby had a heart beat. But around 4 hours later I had 2 blood clots come out when I went to the toilet. I’ve carried on bleeding since and it’s now a red colour. I’ve spoken to the midwife again and they have just told me to monitor it. I’m really hoping my baby is okay.

I would like to know if anyone could explain this?

Thank you. This is my second pregnancy and I had no bleeding whatsoever during my first one, my little girl is now 4. But this time around everything is just so scary. Xx
