What’s going on in your house ?

I am drinking coffee whilst MNing. (Wine is chilling in the fridge)
DP is reading a book
DTs are watching DanTDM, I’m not sure what’s going on but his voice is sending me to sleep.
The cat is glaring out of her window at her arch nemesis “fluffy cat” . Fluffy cat is returning the glare from her spot on the patio.
All is peaceful and well.
What’s going on in your house ?

I've just;
Hoovered the house
Changed the beds
Cleaned all surfaces
Put the uniform wash on
Cleaned the 2 main bathrooms
I am now exhausted and about to get in the bath.

DD (5) is fast asleep.

It's just me and her so not a lot else going on! When I'm out the bath I'm going to do my skincare and a pedicure, moisturise, get into my lovely clean bed and fall asleep to watch some Netflix.
Nice and chilled.

I have just vacuumed up the threads from my sewing day.
Now drinking red wine and waiting for an Indian meal to be delivered. I haven't eaten a thing today so am ravenous.

Husband has popped back to the club to settle his bar tab, which he forgot to pay earlier.

Gosh, @bloodywhitecat that's absolute dreadful.

Oh that sounds like bliss. We’ve managed to get loads Of housework done too and the house no longer looks like a pig sty. I’m still not used to juggling work, children, homework, housework etc after the summer holidays.

I'm home alone. DH is out for dinner /drinks, DS is having a sleepover at MILs. I'm lying on my bed mumsnetting / thinking about going to sleep (heavily pregnant, not just lazy )

In hoping I haven't wrecked dinner as I just might have been in the pub for 4 hours this afternoon. Rather pleased I didn't end up with a trip to a&e chopping the onion! Please be rest assured no children live with us because they are all adults.

I am home alone as dd went to her dad for the night.

So I ordered Nandos and watched a movie on Netflix.

My two dogs are asleep next to me and I had to wake up the Labrador as he was snoring so badly I could hardly hear the TV.

Now I have a stomach ache as I knew I should not have eaten the onions in the boujee bowl

I’m lying on bed reading, drinking beer. The hamsters are snoozing and lady upstairs is doing her washing.

My kids are dancing to it’s raining tacos and drowning out the tv

I’m MNing whilst waiting for DCs to fall asleep. DH is cooking and I’m planning on digging out a thick jumper as it’s suddenly turned into winter here. The cats are hiding indoors so I expect I’ll curl up with one and a book in a bit.

Worked all day and it was mad busy wfh so did numerous loads of laundry in between had pie chips and veg for tea took the dog out got soaked to my knickers so just had a bath put my pjs on and having a glass of wine dd has gone to her university house today as she starts back on Monday ds is upstairs on his computer dh is in bed as he works nights cats are snoozing on dd bed dog keeps going to bed then barking at the door at every little sound it’s wet and windy outside and would really like it left open for him like it was over the summer months

Right now I'm drinking coffee on the sofa, watching Runaways on Disney+ with ds2. We just had chocolate cheesecake for dessert which was very good.
Had a cosy day doing not a lot - a few hours of school planning for next week, watching catch-up, drinking tea and making soup.
Dh took ds2 to an indoor skate park, ds1 was at a friend's so I had a precious few hours of control of the remote and spotify the house to myself.

I’m lounging on the sofa with teenage DSs while they watch MineCon. DH next door in his study playing Horizon Zero Dawn.

We’re all still in last nights PJs, having had a very lazy day 😂. Gotta love a day when you are just changing pjs at bed time. I did manage to clean the bathrooms and kitchen, do the washing, and repot some plants, so I don’t feel too guilty.

I’ll shortly usher the kids to bed, and make fajitas for supper for DH and I and we’ll watch some more West Wing, or he might go back to his game and I’ll do some more painting (landscape, not walls).

@bloodywhitecat I'm so very sorry. Life can be unbearably cruel sometimes.

I’m drinking wine and half watching the footy, half reading, half on my phone (I know that’s too many halves 😬), DP is working, DCs are asleep - bizarrely, for the first time, in the same room (and bed). Their choice, and if it stops them coming in with me in the middle of the night I’m all for it!

@bloodywhitecat when I read the first part of your post I was like wow, fostering 2 little ones and then when I saw what you and your dh are facing, my heart sank for you. Wishing you both strength and comfort.

Ive just got out of the bath and am sitting at the end of ds (2) bed who is fighting sleep like a trooper. I have just told him to lie down or i will leave the room - to which dh has exclaimed disbelief at not thinking of.

Theres a take away on the way and a nice cold beer and probably a film waiting for me when ds gives in to sleep.

Dcats are hiding from the rain on various beds/sofas.

All is well here.

@DaphneFanshaw DC just settled & gone to sleep! I'm currently loading the dishwasher, heading to bed shortly!

I am flopped on the sofa after a day that started at 4am, thank you DS. Trying not to fall asleep as need to collect DSD from work at eleven.

DH is up putting DS to bed, DS is protesting vigorously as only an overtired one year old can. In his dinosaur onesie. Very hard to take him seriously.
