Yesterday I went in to have hysteroscopy and removal of polyp. The nurse said the Consultant couldn't find any polyps. But I can't read what this word says.

Can someone tell me what this says please.

It says curettage which means they scrape out the lining of the uterus. Hope you’re feeling well. Flowers

Thank you all I honestly couldn't make it out and I tried reading it few times Smile.

I don't really understand why he did it though if he couldn't find any polyp. I hope he calls next week so I can ask him about it.

I had this done last year and they punctured my uterus by accident which wasn’t great! It was very painful for a day or two and then settled down fine but keep taking painkillers if you need them and watch you don’t get constipated on the codeine!

😱What did they do when they punctured your uterus? Did they just let it heal or what.

I was so worried about that but when he said it happens 1/100 I relaxed a little.
Yeah the nurse warned me about constipation on the codeine.

It just healed itself. It was really sore when I came round and they wanted to keep me in overnight but I begged to go home and they let me because I am a nurse and so promised to watch for signs of infection. It was fine though, didn’t cause any issues at all. Sounds worse than it was 😂
