I know. I’m so boring. But my feet are cold and I want a really lovely pair! But ....
I have fibromyalgia and sore feet so I need a decent sole. Nothing too hard though.
Would like to be able to where them to go out to take the dogs out for a last wee in the garden at night!
Hate horrid scratchy fabric. Blush
Not boots or anything too hard to get on and off. I normally just buy the ones with no backs.
This is soo rubbish I know but I’m hoping to be persuaded by your stories of wonderful slippers into treating myself.
Or feel free to go off and find a less dull thread. Grin

This thread is quite old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for warm, cosy slippers with plenty of support, we’ve recently updated our best women’s slippers page with lots of great options, as rated by Mumsnet users. We hope you find it useful. Flowers

Would Mahabis fit the bill? I bought a pair a couple of years ago and they haven't fallen apart. Still in really good nick actually.

Mindymomo · 03/10/2020 09:26

I wear moccasins. I find them the most comfortable and warm, but not too hot and I can wear them in the garden if not too wet.

Wolfiefan · 03/10/2020 09:29

DrGachet I’ve looked at those but they look quite hard soled without much padding and my feet hurt sooo much.
Mindymoo aren’t they quite low at the front? I can’t wear ballet type slip ons etc as they don’t stay on.
See I said I was fussy!! Grin

My husband is buying me these for my birthday. They have a lovely thick sole, all warm and comfy inside (we have wooden flooring downstairs so my feet get very cold) and not a bad price

Of you have or know anyone that has a Costco membership they do a real sheepskin/ shearling Ugg slipper knock off for only £20 and they are the best slippers I’ve ever had, the sole is like a tractor tyre it’s so grippy and hard wearing and they are v cosy

Wolfiefan · 03/10/2020 12:42

Spoilt for choice now! No Costco membership. Don’t know anyone who has.
Thanks all.

DH got me some North Face ones for Christmas last year... They're amazing!

These! Honestly worth every penny

Have a look at gumbies! Not the flip flops but the slippers. I now have the bootie ones but a pair of the slide ons lasted my mum for about three years!

CatsGoPurrrr · 03/10/2020 12:52

Oooh, can I recommend Sheepland sheepskin slippers? They are bootlike, but I can put them on, just by stepping into them and they can be toed off.
My feet are cold on all but the warmest Summer days and these slippers are the best I’ve ever had.

Ratonastick · 03/10/2020 12:53

Moshulu, every time. Lots of styles and last well plus a lot have hard soles.

gavisconismyfriend · 03/10/2020 13:10

Catherine Tough. Knitted, lambswool lining. Amazing! Can get 10% off first order by joining mailing list.

rosiethehen · 03/10/2020 13:53

Sketchers Bobs are very good.

Honeyhoops · 03/10/2020 14:09

I'd go for a sheepskin slipper with a rubber sole. Get genuine sheepskin as they'll last longer and your feet don't get hot or sweaty like they can in synthetic lined slippers.

Ugg Scuffette's are great but expensive, however loads of places sell similar. I love Just Sheepskin slippers, they usually last me over a year. Emu also do some nice ones.

Wolfiefan · 03/10/2020 16:19

Thanks so much. I got soaked on a dog walk earlier and can’t warm up. Best get shopping!!

SpeedofaSloth · 03/10/2020 16:22

Moshulu are comfy but mine stretched so I didn't have them long. I am wearing some Toms ones now, they are better.

MoodShiteing · 03/10/2020 16:25

Mules from Next. I think they're a sort of rip off Ugg type but very comfortable and stand up to being outside just fine. They have a fluffy lining and a sort of foam sole, £20.

Caspianberg · 03/10/2020 16:26

Living kitzbühel. The soles are non slip, and they are wool so keep feet lovely and warm, yet not bulky.
I have had mine 5+ years so far, they get worn every day, walk outside in occasionally to car etc and are like new still

inappropriateraspberry · 03/10/2020 16:59

I have some Moshulu ones with a proper sole, but they have stretched like pp said. I have put some inner soles in, but am considering giving them a wash. They have worn well as I wear them almost all day, every day!

Orcadianrythyms · 03/10/2020 17:07

Try these
www.amazon.co.uk/RockDove-Womens-Comfy-Grey-Size/dp/B079D7BV12/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&crid=F8HBLWJAGB9M&keywords=rockdove+slippers+pink&sprefix=Rock+dov%2Caps%2C166&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1601741079&sr=8-5

They're the best slippers ever - hard sole so can be worn for popping out for the washing, memory foam foot bed so super comfy and cosy too.

Wolfiefan · 03/10/2020 18:12

I’ve seen those on amazon Orcadian. Been tempted.
Can’t decide if I want sheepskin.
If I buy nice ones I can guarantee the puppy will eat them. Grin

gerbo · 03/10/2020 18:26

Moshulu - they're ace.

SilverYellow · 03/10/2020 18:29

@MoodShiteing is correct.
The £20 slippers from Next are amazing, and they last!

Franticbutterfly · 04/10/2020 00:01

I'd worn Just Sheepskin for years until this little miracles. They are now my most worn shoes 😩
