Any hair loss tips?

My hair has gone through the usual cycle of shedding after baby #3, but she's now 2 and a half and it's thinner than ever. I'm still rather (unwillingly) breastfeeding, not sure if it's linked. Anyway would be grateful for any tips on supplements, nutrition, cuts, shampoos!

No idea about postpartum hair loss, but as with any hair loss, start by having blood tests. Iron deficiency can contribute to hair loss. Hormones can also play a part. Are you on the pill? I don't think it's common but when I was on the pill my hair started to fall out (as it did when on HRT but I'm clearly oversensitive to hormones!) If you are low on iron the GP can prescribe supplements.

There's lots of products that can help add volume and disguise thinning patches, but definitely priority should be the blood tests.

What length is your hair at the moment? Is the shedding continuing or has it settled?

I ask about the length as if hair is thinner, a shorter style is easier to 'volumise'.

I've just started using L'oreal Fibrology shampoo and conditioner and can say they definitely seem to add volume to my hair. Obviously they may not be suitable for everyone.

Again, it's important to find out the underlying cause of the thinning hair.

Similar happened to me after children. I got tested and was v deficient in iron.
Vit D3 supplements can also help.

The Lee Stafford growth hair range has got very good reviews. My dd uses the mask and her hair is in the best condition it's ever been in .

I've been taking Novominins Beauty Gummies from Amazon and Its helped my hair grow back and also made my eyelashes longer which I wasn't expecting.

*novomins sorry for the typo!

Why unwillingly breastfeeding? If you don't want to, you shouldn't feel like you have to x
