When did you DS's voice break?

My ds turned 15 in August. He is still very physically immature. He doesn't have leg or armpit hair yet although I know he has got pubic hair as his towel fell down. He has always been a slow grower. He has grown 3 inches in the last 15 months which is quite a lot for him. He is now just over 5ft 6.
He is very conscious of the fact he looks young for his age. I was just wondering what a normal range is for voice breaking. All his friends in his year and my friends dc's (who are a year younger) voices have already broken.

In between the age of 13-14 (just as he was playing the title role of Oliver in a local amdram! He's tiny and looks very young for his age.

His friend is a strapping lad and looks much older than his age. His voice broke later.

Don’t worry, my son’s voice only really broke in the tail end of being 15 and everyone seemed to be bigger and growly voiced. He then grew 3 inches very quickly and voice changed. My husband said he was a late developer and my son has proved to be also. He is now 16 and a half and is over 6ft with a deep voice.

My ds s voice has just started to break, he is 12, 13 in January.

My lovely boy had just turned 13...not only did it break (a bit quavery for a while, but seems to have settled now), but it seems to have got louder, too, which is really irritating at times...

DS (12) has a deeper voice now than he did a year ago. I don’t think it’s fully broken yet, but sounds different. He’s also gone through a major growth spurt- but many of his friends haven’t yet.

It’ll happen, OP. Everyone’s different.

Late 14.

A month or 2 before his 13th birthday.

Just recently - just before his 14th birthday. But he also has some armpit hair and is probably 6ft by now. Still got a very young face in my opinion
