I'd say 'berry'.

tanstaafl · 02/10/2020 13:04

‘Berry’ or ‘burry’ are acceptable. Most of UK would say ‘berry’

Candleabra · 02/10/2020 13:05

Berry

MrsRogerLima · 02/10/2020 13:06

Berry here

jazzyroll · 02/10/2020 13:08

If you're from there its Burry like burrito. If you're not from there its Berry.

unmarkedbythat · 02/10/2020 13:14

Burry. To rhyme with flurry. Before I moved to Manchester I said Berry, but that's wrong and I have learned!

OhToBeASeahorse · 02/10/2020 13:15

Burry bur thaya because I've watched too much Peter Kay

OhToBeASeahorse · 02/10/2020 13:16

PortugeseManoWar · 02/10/2020 13:17

But Bury St Edmunds is pronounced, 'berry', right? Or is that 'Burry' too?

LadyCatStark · 02/10/2020 13:18

It’s burry if you live there!

autumnboys · 02/10/2020 13:19

My DH is from Lancashire, he would say Berry.

Heptember · 02/10/2020 13:21

I'm not from there, but I say Burry.

Burry Market.

pollywollydoodler · 02/10/2020 13:21

Friend who lives there says burry

amusedtodeath1 · 02/10/2020 13:24

Burry, lived very close for years, we've always said it like that? IDK!

whataballbag · 02/10/2020 13:25

I live just buy it and it's bury, to rhyme with Flurry

wowfudge · 02/10/2020 13:25

I'm from Manchester and say "Berry". Same as for Bury St Edmunds. Locals say "Burry" but as I don't have the same accent I'd sound like I was taking taking the mick if I did.

whataballbag · 02/10/2020 13:26

By* Christ. Maybe don't take grammar tips off me...

NataliaOsipova · 02/10/2020 13:26

@iklboo

Berry. But people from Bury say Burry.

Squiffany · 02/10/2020 13:28

SourcePlease · 02/10/2020 13:29

BovaryX · 02/10/2020 13:29

Burry to rhyme with 'slurry'

Hotcuppatea · 02/10/2020 13:30
