Kid ate dried cannellini beans

I thought it was only red kidney beans that were poisonous so I gave my 2yo some dried cannellini beans to play with. I caught him eating maybe 3 of these so Googled it, and it seems there are still rather a lot of toxins in them. I know he hasn't eaten masses as I've been in the room with him, but I can't say how many exactly.

I'm not sure what to do, am I overreacting totally? Or do I need to go to A&E? I feel like absolute shit that I've done something to harm my kid.

“ Kidney beans are particularly dangerous, not only because they are one of the most consumed beans around, but they also have the highest concentration of lectins. Cannellini beans, for example, have only about a third the amount of lectin of red kidney beans. It’s still enough to make you sick, however.”

I’ve just found that after a cursory google so they’re not as much of a danger as kidney beans but I do think I’d seek medical advice still. Either 111 or if you have a pharmacy close by they’re usually an excellent source of quick info.

No harm in calling 111 to ask
