How did I get a cold?

How on earth have I managed to get a cold? I have not been near anyone except my husband - who hasn't been near anyone either - I am scrupulous about wearing a mask, sanitising my hands and wearing gloves too. I go to one shop only for shopping and keep miles away from people! No pubs, restaurants or other places where people congregate. I know it is a cold as I have runny nose, painful sinuses and feel teary!! No sore throat or cough. I am pretty fed up!!

I don’t know but I managed to get one last week too.

My husband only realised this year that he gets hayfever as he always assumed he was ill. You might be allergic to mould - it's the right time of year.

My son and H have got a cold too, despite not going out except for exercise and all precautions if they have to go to ashop. I'm wondering if it is allergic rhinitis as we recently moved house.

I’ve got one too. I think it came from one of the children... Bit shocked tho as I’ve been careful!

I've been asking myself the same thing as I don't even leave the house and DH wears an FFP3 mask to and from work. But I still caught a cold.

I've got a very low-level one too. I don't even go to the shops--get all my food delivered. But I do live in a block of flats, so I have to walk through the common parts to get to the exit door. The window is left open most of the time on the landing but people close it.

Ah my people.
I have started cold symptoms today, just an itchy, sneezy, runny nose.

However, I was glossing woodwork this morning and thought it was a reaction to that. I have taken an antihistamine but no change.

Husband and I are shielding hard. We don’t go anywhere! I had a food delivery on Wednesday evening but wore a mask and gloves to unload it from the crates in to the garage where it will all stay until tomorrow (Saturday).
