Has anyone returned Valspar paint?

I bought a 5l tub of Valspar paint today for £46. Just painted and absolutely hate the colour! It looks so different to photos I've seen online (more orange than pink). I know I should have done a tester. It says online you can buy a different colour and send both receipts to them and a pic for a refund but I'm worried about spending another £46 and not getting it back. Has anyone managed to get a refund this way? Thanks.

I took mine back to B&Q as it was colour matched to what we already had, only it didn’t match. There was no problem, they took the tin and did a bit more mixing and gave us it back.

We took our original colour and painted a bit if theirs on some paper to show the difference in colour. Is that something you can do?

If its a preset colour they will check it matches the card. If it does then you may not get a refund as you should have done a tester. Colours never look the same online. Change the brightness on your phone and the colour will look different.

I had an absolute nightmare getting a refund from Valspar when the paint they made me wasn’t the right finish. I went to B&Q, who told me I needed to go to Valspar, who then told me it was B&Qs responsibility. It went round in circles for a while. Until I got so angry that both companies gave me a gift card.
