I'm thinking about taking the kids away for a couple of nights at the end of October, something quite simple, just a bit of family time, no crowds, no expensive attractions or organised entertainment. We are absolutely not campers, but a yurt/Lodge type holiday sounds like it might work, but I've got no idea where to start looking. I don't want to spend too much money, it doesn't need to be overly glamorous, just comfy and a change of scene. Probably looking at anywhere south of Birmingham so we don't spend too much time travelling for only a couple of nights. Any ideas on some hidden gems?
