Fancy chocolate

Hi,

DH has a big birthday coming up, I have got his main presents but wanted to also get him some special chocolate of some kind- maybe that can be personalised so a bespoke type chocolate gift maybe- something 'fancy'? Can anyone help? Any local small business that does some lovely tasting, beautiful gifts? Thanks!

I don't know if it is your thing but you can make your own really lovely chocolate slab quite simply. Buy good quality chocolate, melt it, spread out on a piece of greaseproof paper and then add on all your husband's favourite treats and leave to set.

They're quite lovely because they are tailored for the individual and look and taste delicious. Plus, hand made is love innit.

@Emeeno1 sounds good in theory, but I doubt my ability I'm not cocking it all up somehow... will have a think!

Slattery's are amazing chocolatiers and bakers. They are based in Whitefield near Manchester but you can order from their website (they made Wayne and Coleen Rooney's wedding cake)

Not sure about personalising but I love Charbonnel et Walker for fancy chocolate especially the champagne truffles and they have a new pistachio truffle.

Got bought some of these as a thank you gift and they were fab!

Slattery's is the best! They have viewing windows and you can watch them making chocolate and cake. It's one of my happy places:-)

@Chrischambersnevermisses my dad received one for his birthday and it was a very good size. Would highly recommend to anyone.
