Hi all, I’m an Australian citizen looking to move to Australia with my British husband and DC9.

I’m interested in any recommendations for forums / websites to read, international shipping, job seeking, schooling, even your own experiences on what to look out for.

Good luck, there’s an enormous queue of citizens trying to get back in currently. Very sad stories about mums separated from young children etc (such as people who went o/s to farewell dying parent thinking they would be gone for a few weeks max, got kicked out and several months later still can’t get back). Have heard horror stories about expats handing back rentals based on a flight booking and then being constantly bumped with no end in sight. It’s a complete shit-show.

It’s awful, I have a cousin in a similar situation (not separated from children thankfully).

I hope all families are reunited very soon.
