Dare I say LO loves smiley faces and potato croquettes!! (once in a while treat, her diet is very rarely beige!!)[/quote]
I must admit fish fingers, waffles (and token peas obviously) are a weekly staple in our house when Dh is away. We’ll probably move on to smileys at some point. Pre kids I always said I’d never give DD ‘freezer food’, then I experienced life with a 2 year old and came back down to earth! She eats pretty well otherwise but sometimes you just need an easy life Smile

Bacon and mushroom omelette

Bacon and mushroom tagliatelle

Chicken stirfry

Egg fried rice.
I keep cold rice in the fridge most days so it's a 5 minute job.

Chicken mozzarella bake

Beat chicken breast with rolling pin, place in individual dish spoon on onion ( frozen chopped), garlic and 1/2 tin of tinned tomatoes - Alice on mozzarella (divide by two dishes, I make for two)
Pop in oven for 30 minutes on gas 4/5

If you have bacon you can pop between chicken and tomato

We have with microwave bag of vegetables

Puppy74 · 29/09/2020 21:10

@DaisyandRoses completely agree. Think you would be hard pushed to find a child who doesn't like fish fingers, my DD adores them. She has a beige tea once every so often and I don't feel too guilty as I know she eats well 95% of the time.
Got to love a potato waffle and beans !

RefriedBeanz · 29/09/2020 21:11

Baked beans on either toast or on a jacket potatoes, with heaps of cheese and black pepper.

They have to be stove top heated beans though. Reduced down until they’re thick and mushy. Not microwave heated!

Frappuccinofan · 29/09/2020 21:12

makemyweek · 29/09/2020 21:17

Favourite in our house is a couple of packs of stuffed pasta chucked in an oven proof dish, add a tin of tomatoes and a jar of red pesto and enough water so that the pasta is just covered by sauce. Stir well and top with grated cheese. 180 degree Oven for about 25 mins. Everyone loves this one, especially me as it is no effort. Nice with salad and garlic bread.

Puppy74 · 29/09/2020 21:21

@makemyweek that actually sounds delish!

Two sausages in a good quality half baguette. Well, I like the idea of it, it's very unlikely I'd have the ingredients to hand at short notice!

Margo34 · 29/09/2020 21:33
