What are the strongest teabags?

I like my tea brewed very strong and taken milky. I've just made myself one with some PG Tips that PILs bought when they were last here and despite brewing for ages it was a disappointment.

So what are the strongest black tea bags? I've had and liked Yorkshire Gold and Barry's in the past, and a colleague made me a really good cup of tea once from his secret stash of teabags that he imports specially back down south from Booth's.

Any others I should try?

Assam. Bog standard English breakfasts are a blend of celong and assam and they usually put in more celong becasue its cheaper but its lighter and flowery. The assam is a purer leaf which a much stronger malty flavour. Sainsburys, lidl and aldi all have single leaf teabags now.

Another vote for Assam! Its very strong and flavourful.

Another that I have on occasion when no access to Assam is Yorkshire Gold.

Sorry just seen you’ve had Yorkshire gold, if you liked that then Assam definitely is a good choice

Brand-wise PG Tips are pretty flavoursome.
