I have a mountain to declutter. I take it from reading around that homeless charities don't want them?

Local vets or cat and dog home maybe? I usually donate mine to the Dogs Trust nearby.

DuffRose · 29/09/2020 14:06

Local animal shelters/wildlife sanctuaries will gladly take them.

Cut them up and use them as dusters/cleaning rags

Absolutely what I do. Better than buying j cloths.
MJMG2015 · 29/09/2020 14:10

Definitely animal shelters, vets etc.

olderthanyouthink · 29/09/2020 15:02

Stick them on Facebook for free

Snog · 29/09/2020 15:06

Agree animal shelters will probably be glad of these

Vinorosso74 · 29/09/2020 16:12

Yes to animal shelters for the towels. However, I would call them before taking the stuff along. I volunteer at a CP adoption centre and sometimes we can be overwhelmed by donations. The towels are appreciated and get used but there is a lack of storage space.

I give them to the local dog rescue.

ColleagueFromMars · 29/09/2020 16:15

Yes, any vet or animal charity. But as others say do call ahead first, they might already be overwhelmed with donations as people sorted so much out over lockdown.

Charity shops sometimes take 'rags', that's what I do with our old torn stuff.

Devlesko · 29/09/2020 16:27

We have always used ours for rags, covers when decorating, that sort of stuff.
I'm an old softie and kept our first duvet cover we bought together. It's used to cover up Grin
