Train travel for bereavement

Is there some sort of fund or concession for those having to travel by rail after bereavement? As in, having to travel across the country as you are the only family member of the deceased?

I don't know for sure but have heard of this, but I would try contacting the company you would need to travel with on twitter. They're normally quite good at replying.

I can’t say I’ve ever heard of it but it seems like a nice thing for train companies to do, thinking about it.

I'm not on twitter, I'll give them a call in the morning.

I’ve never heard of that, only for those leaving domestic violence and some companies do discounts for people traveling for medical treatment. Have you looked on money saving expert? They have a guide to reducing the cost of train travel.
I’m sorry for your loss Flowers
