Uk holidays - exceptionally busy still?

We’ve been going to the lakes for years but last week was the busiest we’ve ever seen it.

Is the rest of the uk the same?

I just looked at booking somewhere in Cornwall for 2021 and looks like most things are booked already from March onwards so I am kind of assuming the answer is yes

Is 2021 going to be better having stay at home holidays?

We have a caravan and sites are booked up well in advance. Gone are the days of deciding on Thursday to go away Friday after work to a caravan site. Gotta plan in advance.

I guess people are planning ahead and booking UK holidays for 2021 because there's still so much uncertainty about going abroad. They just want something/anything to look forward to. Dh has been looking into hiring a motorhome and doing a road trip.

I was thinking about the motor home but if the roads end up gridlocked with holiday makers and then the related lack of parking availability it might be no fun at all
