Have had a mortgage in principle agreed and application paperwork through and signed and returned. Reading back through I've told them, it must have been me?? That the house is semi detached and it's actually end terrace! How big of an issue is this? Is it massive mistake or something easy to fix. I mean they'd realise when they go to evaluate it. But I can't believe I've said it and missed it when checking the paperwork! I'm kicking myself I've been doing it all over the phone with a poorly baby but I have only just realised in the looking over it all again. Total idiot. Is this fraudulent? Or they'll just say oh well no problem we can fix that.

Please tell me its an easy fix and not going to mess everything up.

I'd tell them but some estate agents say an end of terrace is a semi. I'm in no way qualified when I say that.

Dee1975 · 26/09/2020 22:40

I don’t think it will. But let them know before they do the valuation (assuming you are paying for it) just to be sure.

I'll definitely call her Monday and email first thing. The baby bless him has been such distraction but I'm so tired I was sure I'd read it was semi detached and then had a nose on zoopla and it says terraced and thought oh shit it is. I now I have no idea how it's happened. Although it must have been me and I'm worried it's going to cause a massive issue.

Honestly, don't worry. They will need to do a valuation anyway and it won't be a major issue with regards to any decision being made x

Eyre89 · 26/09/2020 22:49

@sunshinel thanks that's reassured me a bit. It's been a bloody nightmare. And I have just had enough of the stress of everything and it was starting to look like the house part of my life at least was going to go smoother from now. Thank you

Surely an end of terrace is semi detached... you only have neighbours on one side?

sunshinel · 26/09/2020 22:52

Bless you, I've been a mortgage underwriter and it honestly wouldn't have been a problem. They'll just put it down to an oversight or perhaps as pp said, some people call an end terrace a semi. It will all come down to the valuation anyway. Hope you get a good night sleep and try not to worry

Eyre89 · 26/09/2020 22:55

I'm thinking I've definitely seen it written as semi detached somewhere. I wouldn't have said it otherwise but I've been so tired I don't know. Thank you i will try and sleep while he's asleep and not panic about it. Luckily the lady who is dealing with it all at the bank is lovely. Thank you again.
