I'm after a charger for AA & AAA batteries...

Does it matter if it's one of the £8.99 ones I've seen loads of on Amazon? Or are more expensive ones better?

I've not got a clue really so thought someone here might know. It's only to charge batteries for xbox controllers and a couple of small strip lights I have in the bedroom :)

We have a cheap one that we have had at least 5 years, still works perfectly.

We have the Amazon basics one that does both. Had it almost a year, seems fine.

Amazon is awash with cheap junk. Nowadays it's a market not a shop and the market owners don't really care what the stallholders sell.

I would stick to a reputable brand. You can probably find one in a supermarket. More expensive ones can charge the batteries faster, that's the main difference, but basic ones are cheap and get the top done.

Thank you, I wasn't sure so thought I'd ask. @safariboot I'm not likely to be going to the supermarket for a while but need to return something to town so will check Wilko while I'm there :)
