Just that really. Any recommendations of something that really does plump up your face?!

Hyaluronic acid. Found in Nip+Fab serum at Superdrug. Apply to damp skin in the morning.

gradetoolisted · 25/09/2020 21:33

Agree with pp-hyaluronic acid. For fine lines a retinoids or retinol. Try theordinary.deciem.com/regimenguide

Retinol .

BadEyeBri · 25/09/2020 21:45

Try some of The Ordinary's stuff. Gave me smooth looking, even & glowing skin in weeks!

deflationexasperation · 28/09/2020 21:04

I've seen threads on ordinary stuff before can anyone say which product? It sounds like a mine field

dayswithaY · 28/09/2020 21:16

Start with hyaluronic acid serum, a few drops in the morning and you can slap any old moisturiser on top of it. At night I use a few drops of squalane or rosehip seed oil and your face will be baby soft.

@deflationexasperation There are blogs out there dedicated to product lists/routines for specific skin types from oily, to sensitive, ageing and teens. Just throw a few words into google for what you're after and you should find some good information! Reddit is also good for TO product recommendations too. I have combo skin, leaning more towards oily, and each day I use their Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide, Azelaic Acid, Glycolic Toner, Plant Squalane and Copper solution. Not all at the same time, some I use in the day and some in the night. The Niacinamide has been especially good at evening my skin tone. Be sure to use broad spectrum sunscreen on your face after using any acids, as it can cause sun sensitivity.

I've been using superdrug's optimum retinol for the past few weeks and my face definitely looks less like a burst pie than usual

old fashioned Nivea cream, in the little round tub.

L'occitane Rich.

TeddyIsaHe · 29/09/2020 05:16

Dermatica. It is prescription tretinoin and it’s the only thing you can get without seeing a derm that actually works. £20 a month, I wouldn’t be without it.

hopeforlucky3 · 29/09/2020 11:26

@Guineapigbridge I find Nivea (white one) great for skin. When I worked in a care home all the lady residents swear by it. A lot of them used Astral too Smile

LeSquigh · 29/09/2020 13:08

Not a face cream but a mask, Quick Fix Facials overnight Vitamin C is only a fiver from Sainsbury’s but I can really see a difference in the morning.

gradetoolisted · 30/09/2020 14:44

I use The Ordinary granactive retinoid emulsion at night. Mornings I use ascorbic acid/arbutin followed by the buffet serum and moisturising factors. The link to the ordinary above sets out regimens for certain skin complaints so easier to follow if you’re not sure what to use.

Duckswaddle · 30/09/2020 14:57

L’Oréal revitalist renew night cream is fab.
