I'm asking this on behalf of someone else. Does anyone recognise this description of a book?
"Its about 2 women who swap places in time through the magic of a red dress. One woman is in the modern time the second in the past, I think around the 1920's. The women are identical looking and have to learn to live in each others lives and reality. They do switch back at the end. And I want to think that the woman from the modern time meets the elderly woman who she switched with towards the end. I might be wrong. Its also a love story, I remember at least one of them falls in love with a man back in the 20's, he would comment how she wore short shorts and the same clothes more than once, and after a while she manages to convince him she's from the future as she had a digital watch she took back to the past with her. He is wealthy and has investments, He in turn removes all his stocks before the big crash of the depression, he warns his close friends of which some listen some don't. That's the gist of it. I don't remember much else other than it being a great read. The cover as I remember it was white with script writing possibly and a picture of a woman sat on a bed in a red dress with her back to us.
I'm guessing it was published in the early 90's."
Anyone have any idea?
