Help me spend £30

Recently out of hospital after major abdominal surgery. Just starting to be mobile again.
Been sent a £30 amazon voucher for my birthday.

House already full of cake chocolate and flowers. And face creams.

Any ideas?

Hand and feet masks? Nice candles? One of those diamond paintings? Though be careful with your posture, hope you're feeling well.

Books!

Another vote for books! Or an audiobook, I find old favourites (often kids ones like Narnia or Harry Potter) comforting when I feel crap or can’t sleep. Audible do your first book free too...

I've stocked up on audio books via the library. They've been a lifesaver this week.

When your voucher is finished, there are some great audiobooks on Youtube.

What about a lovely huge soft wrap / pashmina type thing for snuggling up on the sofa with whilst you recuperate with your audio books / chocolates and face creams - here are some more .

Maybe a £30 bargain clothing item, or some books, or a combination of both.

Come to think of it - if you like second hand books, and you live near a good bookshop, you might be able to get several decent ones with cash to spare.

I agree with the pashmina idea or a lovely new cosy dressing gown and some warm socks.

Do you have a fire stick? You could either buy one - or if you have one, last time I got vouchers I used them to “buy” a couple of films from amazon.

The rest went on kindle books!

Protein hair treatment, foot peeling socks, bamboo face cloths for double cleansing, bamboo cotton pads for eye makeup, Wet brush, Tangle Teezer

Nice pjs or warm dressing gown now that winter is coming; pillow.

If you like fresh coffee, maybe an aeropress? I love mine and use it every day. Feels like a real treat, especially at the minute when coffee out is so scarce.

A new dvd boxset for days when you don't want to be too mobile.

In the end I decided to combine the money with some other money to buy a piece of special jewellery to mark my life changing surgery. But soppy but it will make me happy for a long time.
