DSD has gotten really into writing her own comics. She's had a blank comic strip book to do them in but I'm looking for ideas for Christmas that would really encourage her creativity. She's asked for a typewriter so DP and I have bought her a really lovely vintage one. She's 9 and will be 10 in January.

I'm really keen to encourage her. I myself craft (sew) and bake but I'm struggling on the more drawing/ art front. Everything seems either too young or too old.

Thanks in advance

Good marker pens. Ideally alcohol based. Copic are probably the best but V expensive, we've only just decided to get some for DD at Christmas and she'll be 13. Ohuhu are cheaper and still very good, DD has had them for the last couple of years. Some of her most used ones have developed some frayed tips but it wasn't quick at all.
